Hi everybody! Long time, no see (or read).
As I mentioned at the soon-to-be old place, something in my heart told me to log in over there today. Saw that the place was moving soon. Glad I found you before you turned in the keys.
I guess I'll have to figure out the avatar thing. Hmmm. Can I make myself look like Michelle Pfeiffer?

I'm still debating, Stormy, on an off-ff place -- I want somewhere to put the stories of authors I haven't gotten hold of yet. I doubt it would be that hard for me to relink the library to ff.net pages instead... worth thinking about anyway. And something I can work on as I feel like, since I still have the website backed up on my computer.

~waves at Laurie~ I've had the Boys sort of sneaking around in the back of my head lately...primarily because we did some house rearranging and pulled all the books (and bookcases) out of the basement to make a little upstairs library. The tricky part of moving books (quite apart from getting bookshelves up two flights of stairs-!) is managing not to read them. I was not entirely successful in that! That, and I had a bit in my last Ronin work that called for a detective...or two... The esteemed Arthur Gray, now Demetrius, made an appearance as well, in his usual irascible manner. They do creep back in, that lot! On a side note, Rokia, I am gazing at your avatar and thinking your title really should include 'The Stellar'. That is a LOT of stars. |

I haven't actually checked on this place since Lola died. Was feeling nostalgic yesterday as I get ready to publish my seventh novel and looking at some of my old stuff, and decided on a lark to check the HDA this morning. Seeing the announcement was at the same time a shock, and not. The site had a great run, 15 years is amazing.
This was my first real Internet hangout. And the reason I'm a novelist. My fan fic here was the first stuff I ever completed, and it was enough to give me the confidence to come up with totally original stuff. Reading my old stuff is painful, but at the same time it's also kinda cool to see how much I've really grown as a writer.
Glad to see the community will continue to exist. And, of course, I totally approve of the color scheme.

Yup, seven on May 19th. All paranormal romances. With the hero as the main character, and he usually has either a brother or a friend who's like a brother. Definitely shows my roots, if you know what they are. There's a little bit of a mystery in most of them, but they're definitely romances first. I'm having the time of my life with it.
