Alright, here's a hint and another quote. It's from a now-canceled show (though occasionally a new movie will release on the Peacock platform) which began in 2006 and stars James Roday and Dulé Hill. It's about the (mis)adventures of a "psychic" detective and his best friend. Here's another quote:
"Well the plot, unlike your hair, continues to thicken."

This show was a bit later than HIMYM... it has the same number of words in the title, and it has two of the same actors.

Lol, I knew it right from the first line of the first quote, but I've been super busy and haven't been able to get on lol. It's A Series of Unfortunate Events. The TV Series from Netflix, not the movie with Jim Carrey.

Yes it is! I liked both adaptations, but of course the series is better as it actually covers all the books/story

Exactly! Plus I'm more of a Neil Patrick Harris fan than I am a Jim Carrey fan. NPH's voice is just amazing and I always enjoy listening to the theme song lol.
