Still here. So are a few others, based on the recent activity information. Think we need another quote.

Alright, here's a hint and another quote. It's from a now-canceled show (though occasionally a new movie will release on the Peacock platform) which began in 2006 and stars James Roday and Dulé Hill. It's about the (mis)adventures of a "psychic" detective and his best friend. Here's another quote: "Well the plot, unlike your hair, continues to thicken."

Ooh! Psych! Now I know and I reread the first quote, I should have got that...

* A drama on ABC * In its fourth season. * Very much wanted to be the next This Is Us * There's a number in the title. (But written in words, not as a number.)

As well as James Roday, it stars David Giuntoli (Grimm) and Grace Park (Hawaii Five-0)
The number is a million, and the title is A Million ___ ____

I've never seen it, but based on the hint, I'm gonna guess... A Million in One?

I'm gonna say it has to be... A Million Little Things?

Haha, I'd never even heard of it before. Sorry for the absence, I was on a work trip in Nashville. But I'm back now! I may have done this show before, but I don't remember so I'm doing it now lol.

Haha, how about this one from the same show, different episode. Should give it away if one has seen the show before.

Well, I was hoping someone else would know it, but as it looks like there are no takers... it sounds like Barney from How I Met Your Mother?

This show was a bit later than HIMYM... it has the same number of words in the title, and it has two of the same actors.

|
|
Post by josie on Apr 21, 2022 16:46:59 GMT
It ran for three seasons from 2017 and was based on a well known book series.
The actors it shares with HIMYM are Neil Patrick Harris (as one of the biggest characters) and Cobie Smulders.
The parents' death happens right at the start and is what sets everything else in motion.

I should rephrase that last sentence more helpfully... The parents' death happens right at the start and is the event that puts a whole series of unfortunate events in motion.

Lol, I knew it right from the first line of the first quote, but I've been super busy and haven't been able to get on lol. It's A Series of Unfortunate Events. The TV Series from Netflix, not the movie with Jim Carrey.

Yes it is! I liked both adaptations, but of course the series is better as it actually covers all the books/story

Exactly! Plus I'm more of a Neil Patrick Harris fan than I am a Jim Carrey fan. NPH's voice is just amazing and I always enjoy listening to the theme song lol.
Here's my quote. This one is a little more obscure, but my husband recently introduced me to it and we've really been enjoying watching it together. "Great leaders know that it is impossible to take everything on themselves."
