It's one of those mockumentary sit-coms where the characters occasionally address the camera directly. About three related families. The father has a younger Columbian wife and stepson. His son is in same-sex marriage with an adopted Vietnamese daughter. His daughter is married to a realtor who fancies himself a cool dad and has two daughters and a son. There are three storylines in each episode. It's been pointed out that neither of the adult women on the show have jobs. On ABC and in syndication on the USA network.
"Sorry you couldn't come to the wedding. It was no kids."
"It's okay. I'll come to your next wedding."

At least 90% of the time, it was one of three callers: 1 - Sheridan. (Her voice got even shriller.) 2 - Her sister, Violet. (Mercedes, swimming pool, room for a pony.) 3 - That guy wanting to order Chinese takeaway. (Her voice got a bit deeper.)

All I can think of is Frasier---but was he a psychiatrist or a psychologist?

It is Frasier. Both he and Niles were psychiatrists. You're up, Scott.

I never thought of those guys as MD's.
But okay---from an HBO series. I watched it on Amazon----a couple is renewing their wedding vows. The wife reads a draft of her vows:
"'We'll love each other throughout this lifetime, but after death through all eternity.'"
"You mean this is... this is continuing into the afterlife?"
"Yeah, that's the idea. Do you have a problem with that?"
"Well, I... I thought this was over at death. I didn't know we went into eternity together. Isn't that what it said in... "'til death do us part, " I thought it was..."
"Do you have a problem with eternity?"
"Well..."
"We finally found each other, _______, and we're celebrating this for all eternity."
"I guess I had a different plan for eternity. I thought... I thought I'd be single again."

Didn't realize the show had so much obscene language until I started trying to find quotes. Here's the guy's renewed wedding vow:
“It’s a very good relationship. Ten years! Pretty, prettttty, pretty goooood. And I am your devoted servant---well, I don’t know about servant. I’ll certainly help you.”

Yeah, you're probably right. I might not have gotten it from those clues either, though.
So here's a scene where Larry's friend's wife wants to show him their new house. She uses what was sort of her catch phrase at the end:
"Nice house."
"Yeah, come on. I'll give you a tour."
"Naw, it's ok."
"No, come on."
"No, it's ok. I-I get it."
"You get it?"
"Yeah, it's a house. It's new. I get it. It's nice."
"You get it? Ok, you know what? Get the **** out of my house, Larry!"

"Have no place I can be Since I found Serenity" You've got it, Rokia. I've always meant to get the DVD set. However, since there's a 15th anniversary Blu-ray set coming out this year, I think I'll wait just a little bit longer.
