Sadly I don't know this one - and I'm with Joyce, I like this thread, I'm just not especially good at it. This quote did make me smile, though - when I was little every time we'd come to a store with a no pets sign my mother would smile, pat me on the head, and say something along the lines of 'on, sorry sweetie, you'll have to wait here'

I'm no good at it either. I rarely if ever recognize the quotes, unless it's a REALLY old or well-known movie. I'm starting to have that problem. I like these games, but I've got practically no chance of recognizing a quote from anything recent unless it's something like Star Wars, and even that's due mainly to the franchise's longevity. The last film I saw in a cinema was Rogue One. Before that, it was The Force Awakens. I honestly can't remember what the most recent viewing prior to that was. Same with TV. I don't watch any at the moment. Most of my quotes in these games come from films or shows that are over a decade old. My soundtrack collection reflects this as well. Nothing recent unless it's by an older composer (e.g. John Williams) who works for an old-school director, who still views the film's score as important (e.g. Steven Spielberg). From what I've seen on film score forums, this is pretty common. On those boards, we're becoming a bunch of grumpy old men who are always talking about how much better it was in the old days. |
