Ghostbusters? the original

You've got it, Robina. It's the only Ghostbusters film I'll quote from. I thought Ghostbusters II was disappointing, and I've sworn a blood oath never to watch that other one. The original was lightning in a bottle.
Actually, looking at that quote now, I can't help hearing Jeremy Clarkson and James May's voices in my head.

I saw the original for the first time a couple of months ago.
Here's a new quote.
Character 1: Look, you can't do things like that! Now, I don't know how I can explain this to you. But, it's not only against the law, its wrong! Character 2: Oh, piffle! Character 1: It's not a nice thing to do. People wouldn't understand. He wouldn't understand. What I mean is... Well... This is developing into a very bad habit!

One of my favourite movies but I'll let someone else have a turn before I guess again.

Another quote---a young, then-unknown Marilyn Monroe plays a party guest:
"Oh, waiter!"
"That is not a waiter, my dear. That is a butler.
"Well, I can't yell Oh butler! can I? Maybe somebody's name is Butler."

Here's a quote.
Character 1: I am cantankerous, greedy, fat, I am perhaps disagreeably attached to power, but I am anything but insane!

Cool!
Okay, here’s my quote:
Person 1: No! Not good! Stop! Not good! What are you doing? You burned all the food, the shade... the rum.
Person 2: Yes, the rum is gone.
Person 1: Why is the rum gone?
Person 2: One: because it is a vile drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two: that signal is over a thousand feet high. The entire Royal Navy is out looking for me. Do you really think there is even the slightest chance they won't see it?
Person 1: But why is the rum gone?

Okay. This one is obscure but not as obscure as it should be. Mystery Science Theater 3000 introduced it to a new generation:
"There is nothing to fear, madam. The Master likes you. Nothing will happen to you. He likes you."
"Likes me? I thought you said he was dead!"
"Dead? No, madam. Not dead the way you know it. He is with us always. Not dead the way you know it. He is with us always."

What? No guesses?
Another quote:
"Hey, Torgo, where's the phone? Yes, Alexander Graham Bell, you know, telephone?"
"There is none, sir. The Master doesn't approve of such devices."
