Aw, thank you, all! My birthday was great, and I didn't work at all, Rokia. I took my birthday and the next two days off so I had a five day weekend and it was wonderful! LOL! On my birthday my sister and I went to Philly. A new museum opened a year or so ago that I've been wanting to go to (Museum of the American Revolution) and then we found this FABULOUS Italian restaurant! The food was amazing - tasted just like it did when I visited Italy - ALL homemade that day, even the tiramisu I had for dessert.  Today, I am home for a 'snow day' and I'd rather be at work. Having to shovel over a foot of snow on the first day of spring is just wrong, on every level.  I know Cheryl is equally as 'happy', or even less so, since she has to make up the snow days! Frankly, I'm surprised they decided to close today; that rarely happens. Two weeks ago (during the THIRD nor'easter in less than a month!) the governor of Pennsylvania declared a state of emergency (only emergency/essential personnel allowed on the roads) but did my place of employment close? Nooooooooooooooooo.... Turns out that day wasn't so bad, it was only sleeting a little bit on the way to work, massive blizzard like snow until about 2:00pm while I was working, and by the time I left at 4:30 pm the sun was out, skies were blue and all the roads were clear because the entire rest of the state stayed home so the plows had no trouble clearing the snow. Easiest driver home I ever had! LOL! Thanks again for the birthday wishes! And for the cards, JD and Cheryl. And Ritu, thanks for the guest reviews on ff.net. |
