So I was driving along and there was a small SUV crashed into a tree with a much larger SUV parked here. I stopped. It looked like the wreck happened a little bit earlier, and there was nothing I could do to help anybody. But I got out and walked up there. There was no one in the wrecked car. I was walking past the other SUV. The window rolled down and a skinny teenager waved and said, "It was me." His mother said it was fine, nobody hurt. He didn't even seem injured by the airbag. I don't know how he did it since there wasn't an intersection or any driveways there be he hit the tree at a right angle to the street.
Okay. I got back in my car and left.
Thirty years ago, he would have been killed.
