I watched a 1964 Polish action film, The Law and the Fist. After World War Two, the borders of Poland shifted west. A former resistance fighter and concentration camp survivor joins a group going to an abandoned German town ostensibly to prepare for an influx of Polish refugees. He tries phoning for help when he realizes they're there to loot the place. They meet a drunken German waiter and a group of Polish women. The guy has to shoot it out with the looters when help doesn't arrive. It was interesting anyway.
