So Saturday evening, I asked my husband to take me to the ER. It turned out to be a good decision. They performed an emergency appendectomy on Sunday morning; unfortunately my appendix ruptured during surgery. I'm doing well now and they might send me home tomorrow.

Oh, no! That's horrible. Thank goodness that you listened to your instincts and went to the hospital. I'm sending prayers for a speedy recovery. Rest and recoup!

Yes, I'm doing much better. I was feeling pretty good on Mother's Day so I immediately overdid it a bit, loaded the dishwasher and cleaned the cat boxes. I learned my lesson and I've been taking it quite easy since then. I am feeling well
enough to drive but I haven't been going out much.

Thank you. I had my follow-up appointment with the surgeon a couple of days ago and I got the all clear to resume my usual activities....within reason. No heavy lifting or archery but I am allowed to paint that last wall beside the stairs. I'll probably get my husband to take the railing off for me. |
