I remember long ago. They were showing this thing on HBO---called "Home Box Office" in those days. On the promos, they showed a bunch of red-coated upper class English Indian Army officers with swords chasing Michael York who was pulling a stuffed pig on wheels behind him. I assumed that THIS was the "conduct unbecoming" they were talking about, but it turned out to be one of their regimental traditions they were trying to uphold.
It was one of those movies where a guy assigned the task of defending another soldier in a court martial discovers that he's expected to not actually defend him but help put him away.
It was okay. Based on a play. With Stacey Keach playing an English fellow, Trevor Howard, Susannah York, Christopher Plummer. It was pretty good but the ending was stupid. The message seemed to be that 19th century British colonialists weren't as awful as they appeared
