I remember getting my last haircut before going to a funeral, or maybe it was a wedding. But I can't think whose. I haven't had a haircut in a couple of years. And now, for the first time ever, I have a pony tail. I'm pretty happy about it.

So, am I the only one here? I guess I have free run of the place. So, let me say that Trump is an idiot and a racist but I was relieved Clinton lost since her only campaign promise was to start World War Three by launching a war against Syria. Russia was already there and didn't seem terribly fearful of the United States. Trump was the worst candidate imaginable but he ultimately won the election because he was the peace candidate, the same reason Obama and Bush, Jr, won. They each ran as peace candidates then started war after war.
I was reminded of John Reed, a founder of the Communist Party, USA. In 1916, he said to vote for Woodrow Wilson. Wilson's campaign slogan was "He kept us out of war". Reed knew Wilson would get the US into World War One but, that being his slogan, he would at least have to wait a little while before he did.
And now the Democrats are gearing up for another humiliating defeat, pushing for war with Russia, Syria and North Korea. They think voters really go for endless war.

Guess you don't recall that discussing politics and religion was highly discouraged on this site, eh?

To change the subject entirely, here... who else is actively writing Hardy Boys now (apart from myself)?

I’ve never written Hardy Boys fiction. I do read it but free time has pretty much vanished in the 10 years since my divorce.
I do check in a couple times a week to see if there’s any activity. The movie and tv quote games are pretty much dead. 😔

Haven't even tried writing any in a very long time. I never had any plots anyway, so it seemed kind of futile! I still read some fanfiction over on FF.net occasionally.

I did start writing something a while back but it wasn't going anywhere.
It was mostly about Fenton Hardy and I found that writing about an adult made me completely lose all interest in teenage characters. I couldn't start with Fenton and ease into a Hardy Boys adventure.

I'm hoping to get back into the teenage continuums I had going, but for the moment, the 'Best Friends' ie the boys at 10-11, 11-12-ish, are commanding my complete attention. They're a very talkative pair at that age. I'm also becoming quite the Con Riley fan, he keeps getting involved with all their young adventures. And then there's a couple of extracts from the Bluespines that have kinda bitten me...Mystery of the Whale Tattoo inexplicably left out the scene where Joe wakes up on top of the Ferris wheel, so I went and filled that in for 'em.

I am in the process of writing my next HB story but it is several chapters from completion which for me means several months from completion at this time. Leyapearl, Jilsen, and LaurieQ all have current stories posting on FFN. I highly recommend them.

Do any of you guys know if there is a full version of Burnt Bridges out there? It was one of my favourites but I can find it anywhere!

I don't think there is, unless the author has a website of her own that it's posted on.
