Lost Horizon, the musical

I don't know what the movie was supposed to be. Was it a utopian socialist thing, or what? 

I watched the '60's musical version of Lost Horizon. I heard it was bad and I don't like musicals anyway, but this was just awful. I slept through most of it. I should watch it again. I wonder if George Kennedy had a song. Free with Amazon Prime.

You are very wise. I'm probably putting too much effort into watching TV.

I vaguely remember seeing this movie in Mad Magazine and I sort of liked the old version of it. It didn't really make sense to remake it as a musical. And it never made sense to me that this place was supposed to be such a paradise. They had servants doing everything for them. It wasn't much of a utopia for the servants, was it?
