My mother wanted to watch it, so I turned on "The Movies". It was just worthless, absolute crap. Later, I looked at articles on it and was shocked that people were gushing over it like it was a work of genius. The comments on the articles seemed terribly slick---almost as if writers from CNN were posting them.
I turned it off. I was on Hulu on the Roku, so I found Mark Cousins' series from Northern Irish TV, The Story of Film: An Odyssey. Infinitely better. My mother liked Cousins' voice and his Irish accent, but only watched three episodes.
