Has anyone seen this? I caught it on TV last night and enjoyed it way more than I expected to It seemed like a really good adaptation - they kept Nancy 16, and the actress was actually 17 and even a redhead. (Though apparently her classmate was played by a 30 year old...) None of the "old fashioned Nancy in the modern world" like the Emma Roberts film, or aged up or anything. It was just a fun kid's film, with a story that wasn't too simple or too complicated. (Though at one point, it was even a bit scary for me. I'm a confirmed wuss.) I haven't read the book it was based on, so I don't know how much they changed the story. I also haven't read many of the ND books, so I'm not sure which other characters were changed or missing, aside from Ned. (With apologies to Ned, it was packed without a boyfriend subplot and this was a good thing.) The main change I noticed was that Hannah was suddenly Carson's sister. Which made sense, but I suppose when it came to the books the two series couldn't have an Aunt Hannah and an Aunt Gertrude on top of all the other similarities Nancy's mother's death was also more recent, and she had only just moved to River Heights full time. But hey, in comparison to how things sometimes get changed, that's nothing

I didn't know they made a movie, I'll have to check it out!
