So I was busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to get on. But I hope everyone had a happy Halloween! Since COVID cases where I live are still pretty low, we were able to go trick or treating. Many people had fun little tubes to send the candy down for us to catch. The kids loved it! My oldest went as a kitty princess, my middle went as a creeper (from Minecraft), and the baby went as Baby Yoda (from the Mandolorian). The middle one got tired very quickly and ended up being the one to ride in the stroller while the baby (ok, he's officially a toddler and I probably need to get used to not calling him a baby lol), had a blast running around from house to house with much more energy and enthusiasm than his big brother, haha. Did anyone else do anything? Hand out candy (or toss it down a tube)? Time with family? Spooky movies? (And just because, here's a picture of my little monsters).

Nobody came to the door here. I looked up and down the street and a couple of houses had uncarved pumpkins on the porch and next door they had a neon ghost in their window. And then, just to make sure, most people had their porch lights turned off. I turned the porch light on and put a bowl of candy out, but as far as I can tell nobody came. I have college students next door---their parents bought them the house to live in while going to college so there's no way to get rid of them. They had a party. They were standing outside shouting conversationally. One had apparently been diagnosed with COVID-19. I assumed he was over it now, but he said he smoked a large amount of marijuana at the time even though he was warned not to smoke while the virus was destroying his lungs. I was going to yell at them to shut up and go inside, but I just stood and listened to them for a few minutes.
They couldn't see me. I have always have to yell a few times before they notice.

My nephew and his wife brought over their three kids [one high-schooler, one middle-schooler and one grade-schooler] -- they just live a couple of miles away -- and I gave them double helpings of full-size candy bars [mom & dad too], and we stood around on the front porch and chatted for awhile, but that was all the trick-or-treating we had, and they weren't going anywhere else, either.

It must be a bummer to live in places where the numbers are higher! I'm glad ours have been so low, so we can still have the fun things like trick or treating!

The number of cases here was fairly low until the University students returned. Now they've shot up. In fact, TV's Zachary Ty Bryan was in jail just a few miles from me after being arrested for battering and strangling his girlfriend. He was in a violent rage because he couldn't find his phone charger. He didn't kill her or anything, but he's been charged with two felonies. I assumed they came here to sweat out the pandemic, but I don't know.

My neighborhood had a few people put out tables with bags of treats on them, but we rarely do get trick-or-treaters- which is odd, with an elementary school less than a mile away and a high school about five miles off.
But it seems the usual flock of candy-seekers descended on the grocery store. There was nothing left to mark down except some gummy candy-corns and bags of gumdrops. All the chocolate was gone, and the regular candy aisle was picked over as usual. : p Looked to me like the Christmas chocolate got raided too, as usual.

The son on Home Improvement. The oldest one.
Did quite a bit of stuff after that and it appears that he's a producer now.

I've heard that people join Twitter hoping to interact with celebrities. It never works. A better way is to write to celebrities in prison.

Ah, that's right! I remember now. I guess I've never tried to interact with a celebrity. Except maybe one time, I had a poster signed and my picture taken with Audio Adrenaline at a concert when I was 14.
