I've done nothing to prepare. Will people judge me less harshly because of the pandemic, or more harshly because I have a lot of free time and could have been shopping online all this time?
We gave up on having a Christmas Tree years ago and it's so nice now.

If you don't celebrate with a tree or decorations or anything anyway, why would anyone care or judge you if you prepared or not?

I was thinking gift-wise. For that they MIGHT judge me.

I don't suppose it probably matters too much, as long as we're talking about grown adults. Kids might care though. ;-)

We're grown adults at my house, and my sons are grown adults, and we still have two 10-foot "real" trees inside, decorations everywhere, and outside lights that rival a carnival midway. I don't believe Christmas is a children's holiday. If it makes you happy to celebrate and decorate and all that, then do so.

Gift-wise, it's hard to buy for people who are perfectly capable of buying their own stuff. Come to think of it, I bought an old aluminum Xmas tree at Goodwill several years ago. I bought one of those rotating color light things that you're supposed to shine on it in lieu of regular Christmas lights, but I got a very cheap one that didn't work. I should try again next year.

Decorations are another thing all together. We decorate as much for ourselves as much as for the kids.

Gifts are fun, but mostly when you're on the giving end. 😁
