I went and renewed my license. I gave the woman my old license. She asked if I was at the same address, and I said, yes, all the information was the same, but I was wrong. She asked if I wanted to change my hair color to "gray" and seemed to doubt I still weighed the same and asked if I was still the same height.
I was a little worried about the vision test, but I did okay.

Do you have that new type of license that will allow you to travel on airlines that we're all supposed to get? My husband renewed his last fall and has it, but mine doesn't come due until 2026 and I hate to have to pay to renew it again already. And one can't easily get appointments at the DMV even for things like that, right now.

No, just got the plain ol' license. I don't go anywhere by air. Apparently, if you have a passport it serves the same purpose, and if I get my passport renewed, I could also drive to Canada.
The next day, I got a call from the health department or whoever is responsible. They said I could come down any time from one to three and get vaccinated. So I went down there, got in line with the old people. I was last in line and I let an elderly person in ahead of me, but she hesitated, like she thought I should go first. Like I wasn't as spry as I imagined.

Imagine being that worker and having to ask people if they'd like to change their hair color on their license to gray. 😂
