Hey fellow members, You currently have one month to save anything off of the old message board that you want to save (you will have to copy and paste into a word document). Please note - if you are an author and you love your feedback -- SAVE IT... Same goes for stories themselves - those not currently available on ff.net that you love will need to be saved by you... again, copy and paste usually works... it's just long-lasting and tedious --Rokia

Also, the "Chums" pages -- if you liked the pictures and descriptions of characters, save them. [Dawn, since you created them, be sure and save 'em!]

I may make a folder here to post them all on - just have to find somewhere to host the pictures..

Oh lord. I would like to see and save the feedback from my old stories and the stories with Alaina, but the thought of how much time that would take is overwhelming.

It doesn't take that long, Cheryl. Just copy and paste stuff into Word documents. Work from the HDA Library pages. I did it for the Ghostwriters and sent Annah all their stuff, just doing one or two stories per day. Wasn't a big inconvenience. Want me to send you yours?

Oh my gosh, JD. I would't expect you to do that for me,but I am deeply touched that you would offer to do so. Thank you. How kind you are!I'll try to figure it out.

I don't know if this is that much quicker than copying and pasting (it is perhaps tidier), but it seems to work and be quite quick: Go to the page you want Press Ctrl and P (or file - print, or however you like to print) Where it shows the name of your printer as the destination, change it to the "Save as PDF" or "Print to PDF" option Press save or print, choose a location, and you have the whole page! You still have to do each page/chapter separately, but... yeah

Such good ideas ladies.
It really DOESN'T take that long to do feedback - especially the really old stuff that got copied and pasted from the old ezboard.

Saved mine back in the day because I remember you guys talking about the Eboards crash and losing all the feedback. It really is quick enough to do once you find the threads.

When I right-click on any internet page, I get an option to 'save page as'. Then I get options to save as page complete, html only, or text file. The difference seems to be that if you save full page, you get a folder saving all the javascript and images plus an html document, where the html only is a single page more like a snapshot version. I'm really not sure what difference it makes, but if you do full page, you have to keep the folder and document together or it breaks everything.
Mind you, I'm using Mozilla Firefox; I think I remember that Chrome does this but I don't know about Explorer/Bing/whatever they're calling it now.

I think I've just accepted that I don't have the time or the know- how to save feedback from my stories. Although that is kind of sad, I'll remember at least that it felt great getting responses and that people were kind!

I've saved some stuff for you and mailed it. Now, I will admit it isn't edited -- so the files are ENORMOUS! But you can have the fun of editing out all the signature blocks and extraneous stuff yourself!
