I decided to start posting my other HB stories on FFN. Before I Sleep is chronologically the first of the series, so I put it up first, although Halloween in May may be a bit odd. Oh well.

Sounds like I'm not the only one off date then Rokia, so we'll go calendar awol together! And yes, Cheryl, I did get it, thank you so much! I love to let the boys banter a little before I get back to being a meanie! Play nice, now why oh why can't I remember that.....

I shall plan to enjoy your Thanksgiving story in June! After all, if it's Christmas in July with sales, why not Thanksgiving in June? ;-) Loving your story again! I think this makes like three different responses to your posting... just today... I promise I'm not a stalker.

Just a bye the by, I'm trying to post prior stories in chronological order and I'm most of the way through Coming of Age at the moment, with Charades to follow so I can put the sequel to those up over the summer (start of July) hopefully - it's a new story. Meanwhile, I'm posting Diamond Joe, which is a fluffier little piece that never made it off the hard drive before. It's set after Speak Now and before Recollection and Regret, but neither of those has posted on FFN just yet and this story doesn't depend on being familiar with the others, just a tolerance for overpriced stuffy dinner dances attended by Joe.

Laurie, that sounds amazing! I'm just pretending that "Recollection and Regret"' didn't happen for now so I can enjoy Frank and Callie! All of your stories are so wonderful. You have a knack for true to life description and humor, no matter the character or situation. Can't wait to see what you have cooked up!

Oh yes, me too Cheryl. I am totally enjoying Coming of Age (except my Hibachi IS going to make an appearance because SOMEONE needs a slow roasting...)

Cheryl is amazing in that she can pretend she hasn't read things before and comment on them like they're something absolutely new! I'm way behind in trying to read yours on FF.net, Laurie, so I apologize!

Hey, thanks guys, even with the hibachi threats, lol. And definitely no apologies, JD - I spend so much time out of town that I'm trying to post like mad while I'm here for a few months - which is slowing me down on reading and reviewing for everyone else, so I think maybe I should do the apologizing...
And keep pretending a little longer, Cheryl, as Frank and Callie are still together in my little world in this one, although it doesn't have much romance to it, I'm afraid. It really is just a theft case and some silliness.

Is there more forthcoming on Diamond Joe, Laurie? I hope?

I agree with JD! It's so fun reading your stories again, and "Diamond Joe" is great so far! (As I am sure it will continue to be)

Thanks - and yeah, Diamond Joe is short, but I'm thinking chapter 2 should go up tomorrow after work sometime and then every 2-3 days for the other chapters. Millicent is too fun to play with to leave her alone for long - although I think Joe would prefer to left alone entirely!

When I read that "only 72" I kind of cringed, thinking "That's not THAT far from my age. Am I that awful?" But I don't think I'm quite in Millicent's class. For one thing, I'm not dripping with money.

Oh Millicent isn't awful because she's 72, she's awful because she's Millicent, lol. A clingy dressy, extra handsy vapid socialite moonlighting as a jewel thief....

We are soon going to see the sequel to "Charades"?! Did I read that right? That is great news!! Those two are excellent stories!! Totally looking forward to what you come up with next!

Cleaned up a few chapters and wrote part of one over the weekend. Moving slowly. And of course I'm reading Charades, Consequences, and Stages of Conviction at the same time and then throw in Diamond Joe and Campus Terror and it's surprising that I have any time to write at all! Of course I'm not complaining on any of that! ;-D

I think having all of you posting stories at the same time helps - it does take up some writing time, true, but it makes me feel connected, like I'm posting/writing for some purpose other than backing up my hard drive, lol. I'm thrilled to have your stories to read right now!

I'm going to add a few stories to my Ipad when I go on my trip next week -- I won't be able to send feedback (I will have very little internet connection... blah). But sooo happy to see all the stories being posted!
